Summer Wedding Flowers, Accents, Decor and more!
Updated: Apr 28, 2020
Don’t you just love walking into a wedding ceremony or the reception area where the atmosphere, wedding flowers and overall beauty just takes your breath away? There are always new trends and styles each year in the wedding world and 2015 is no different.
The popular wedding décor and wedding flowers for summer 2015 are leaning away from the shabby chic trends of 2013 and 2014 and more towards soft, romantic and metallic accents. When planning a wedding it is hard to bring the plethora of ideas and dreams together, but one thing everyone can agree on it that every idea usually tends to be more expensive than originally thought.
Simple is always key when it comes to wedding flowers and decor, but a few statement pieces helps fill space and create a soft romantic feel. First let’s talk about the ceremony. A perfect backdrop for the bride and groom could be some soft fabric hanging from a tree limb if the wedding is held outside. If the wedding is inside, use two stands with a rod across. The overall goal is to frame the space. Another option that is more affordable, but gives you a similar effect, is floral garland hung from a supported pole. This focuses the attention on the bride and groom and will look beautiful and elegant for pictures.

Now at the rehearsal dinner, whether you have round or rectangular tables, you want to make sure the centerpieces, wedding flowers, or any other décor is not cutting people off from the couple or the head table. Tall centerpieces are in and have been for a while, but there is a smart way to use them. If using tall centerpieces then try to make the base of the piece as slim as possible so the view across the table is not completely blocked. Also staggering tables with low and high arrangements can help open the room and prevent people not being able to see either the head table or the dance floor.
Now take a breath and remember that this day is not entirely about the decorations or the cake: it is about two people that love each other and are starting a new journey into marriage. Yes the décor, wedding flowers, invitations, registries, dresses, and tux are a huge part of creating your dream wedding. However, at the end of the day no matter what goes wrong or right with the trivial things, you are marrying your love, your best friend. Keep that in perspective!
